The Cisco 8-port channelized T1/E1 Shared Port Adapter (SPA) Version 2 takes advantage of the Cisco I-Flex approach, which combines shared port adapters and SPA interface processors (SIPs). This extensible design helps prioritize data, voice, and video services. Enterprise and service provider customers can take advantage of improved slot economies, which result from modular port adapters that are interchangeable across Cisco routing platforms. The I-Flex design increases connectivity options and offers superior service intelligence through programmable interface processors that can deliver line-rate performance. The I-Flex enhances speed-to-service revenue and provides a rich set of quality of service (QoS) features for premium service delivery, while effectively reducing the overall cost of ownership.
